, 22 aching - News. the American astronomers have developed a universal index " space life " with which help it is possible to estimate chances of occurrence of live beings and similarity to terrestrial conditions on ekzoplanetah out of Solar system and to compare them among themselves.

Group of astrobiologists under the direction of Dirka Schultz - Makuha (Dirk S˝hulze - Maku˝h) from university of the State of Washington in Seattle (USA) has described the method of calculation of an index " lives " in article accepted 2 the publication in magazine Astrobiology.

Occurrence and development " terrestrial " life demands performance of set of criteria - in particular, presence of liquid water, enough of nitrogen, carbon and others " organic " elements and absence of sharp difference of temperatures during day and night time of days. Many astronomers consider that it is necessary to search for life on such planets which conditions are close to the terrestrial.

OTOH, Schultz - Makuh and its colleagues are not inclined to deprive of chances and other planets on which is absent one or the several " terrestrial " components - for example, nonfreezing ocean of liquid water.

" Chances of life occurrence in a broad sense this word do not disappear from - for absence of water on a planet or " runaway " from a star round which it when - that rotated. For example, hydrocarbonic lakes on the Titan can conceal in themselves forms of life unknown to us. For this reason we have allocated a part of parametres in " an index of similarity W the Earth " - ESI which allows to compare QIK ekzoplanety among themselves and to mark what are most of all similar to our planet " - has explained Schultz - Makuh.

" Our indicator PHI follows from chemical and the physical properties influencing a status of life as a whole. This index leans only against those parametres which can be RCVed at a great distance from the Earth at current level of technological development " - the scientist has continued.

the Combined index will allow to classify already known ekzoplanety and to compare them to new finds of an orbital observatory " Kepler " and other telescopes.
