Russian-speaking grammar schools of Estonia meet on September, 1st with alarm
In « Day of knowledge » which in Estonia mark on September, 1st, all Russian grammar schools of the country are obliged to pass to teaching of 60 % of subjects in state language.
On the eve of 19 grammar schools of Tallinn and Narva in the spring of this year petitioned for an introduction delay in action of similar action. But for today the destiny only two educational institutions - grammar schools for adults in Tallinn and Narva is defined. They have received a delay till 2016.
On air of transfer PBK “ Good morning, Tallinn! “ director Vana - Kalamajasky grammar schools for adults Yury Beljaev has told that the destiny of the others of 17 grammar schools is not known yet, and the concrete answer from the Ministry of Education most likely will be negative and it will arrive not earlier than December of this year.
According to Beljaeva, transition of Russian grammar schools to Estonian language of training will be heavy for carrying out, as schools lack the teachers owning state language at level of the highest category. Besides, the part of pupils is not ready to studying of subjects in nonnative language.
