" Mail of Russia " will equip with satellite communication of 500 branches

FGUP " Mail of Russia " in the first quarter plans to organise 150 points of satellite communication in post offices of the remote and remote areas Russian Federations, and by the summer - more than 500, it is SPK in a press - the release of the enterprise which have entered " News " on Friday.

Now demands for the organisation of points of satellite communication in post offices have arrived from 15 subjects of the Russian Federations which earlier were not participating in the project. In particular, demands are RCVed from Bryansk, Kaluga, Kamchatka, Kirov, Kostroma, Magadan, Novgorod, Orenburg areas, republics Adygeas, Ingushetia, Kabardino - Balkarija, Karachaevo-Circassia, Chuvashiya, and also Krasnodar territory and Chukchi joint-stock company.

" The given project has paramount value 4 inhabitants of settlements where traditional telecommunication is absent, and its organisation is unprofitable " - it is underlined in a MSG.

the Project on the organisation of public telephone booths on the basis of the stationary satellite terminals, allowing to carry out an exit on a telephone system of the general using not only in Russia, but also behind its limits, it is carried out " Mail of Russia " together with Joint-Stock Company " GlobalTel " - the operator of satellite communication of system " Globalstar " under the aegis of the Ministry of information technologies and communication of the Russian Federation.

Within the limits of the joint pilot project per 2004 100 points of satellite communication have been organised. Satellite terminals have been established in branches of a mail service of 24 subjects of the Russian Federation.

By results of realisation of the pilot project the decision on the further increase in quantity of points of satellite communication was accepted.
