Every third inhabitant of Moldova never used the Internet
36 percent of the population Moldova, first of all countrymen, never used the Internet, poll spent IMAS among approximately 1000 respondents bears.

According to poll, in 17 percent of public libraries of Moldova there are computers, however only 11 percent from them have an Internet access. At the same time only 9 percent of respondents have informed that regularly visit public libraries.
Libraries face a problem of the limited literary resources and technics. Their possibilities of instructing of librarians are limited also. A problem is also the obsolete perception of a role and possibilities of public libraries among public functionaries, and also an inappropriate infrastructure of these establishments.
Within the limits of a pilot stage of program Global Libraries which will be realised throughout next two years, about 60 public libraries of Moldova will be provided by computers and an Internet access.
