The prime minister - ministers of the Baltic States will sign the joint declaration concerning power

the Prime minister - ministers of Lithuania Andrjus Kubiljus, Latvia - Valdis Dombrovskis and Estonia - Andrus Ansip will discuss on Monday, on April, 27th, within the limits of session of Ministerial council of the Baltic States creation prospects in region of the uniform power market and will sign the joint declaration concerning power.

As has informed a press - service of the government of Lithuania, participants of a meeting intend to realise plans on creation of the uniform power market of the Baltic States and its integration through Scandinavia and Northern countries in the European power market.

During a meeting signing of the joint declaration which will designate main principles of regional cooperation in power sphere is planned.

Lithuania counts that the prime minister - to ministers will be possible to put an end in definition of a route of a lining of an electrocable to Sweden that would allow to start practical realisation of the project and to use the financial help of the European Union at a rate of 175 million euro.

the Lining on a bottom of Baltic of an electric cable to Sweden for connection of electric systems of the Baltic States with the Western Europe called till now disagreements of Vilnius and Riga. Each of partners wants, that the cable lay from its coast.

the Vital topic is also building in Lithuania the new atomic power station. Its Baltic States and Poland intend to erect in common on a place of the Ignalina atomic power station closed in the end of 2009.

Besides heads of the governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia the ministers of the Baltic States who are responsible for power, the head of general management of the European Union of power and transport will take part in the Baltic power summit Mattias Rjute, and also representatives of the power companies and experts from Sweden, Poland, Finland, informs   information   a portal news. penki. lt referring to agency ELTA.
