ENI suggests to unite sites of gas pipelines “ the Southern stream “ and Nabuccothe Head of Italian company ENI Paolo Skaroni has supported association of sites of crossing of two competitive European gas pipelines — “ the Southern stream “ and Nabucco. Thus it is possible to cut down operative expenses and to increase efficiency, considers Skaroni. We will remind, ENI is the partner “ Gazprom “ in the project “ the Southern stream “.
“ If all partners decide to unite a route site on crossing, we would cut down operative expenses and would increase efficiency “ - head ENI considers. In its opinion, Europe against growing requirement for gas should increase investments into an infrastructure to promote deliveries of gas from “ new sources “ - such countries, as Turkmenia, Kazakhstan, and from the African continent. “ from us uniform strategy " is required; - he has concluded.
we will remind, ENI is the basic partner Russian “ Gazprom “ under the project “ the Southern stream “ - system of new gas pipelines which will connect Russia and the European Union on a bottom of Black sea. The gas pipeline will be laid on a bottom of the sea to Bulgaria then will pass through Greece on the south of Italy and through Serbia and Hungary to Austria. Productivity of a sea site of a gas pipeline will make 63 mlrd cubic metre a year.
“ a southern stream “ it is considered the competitive project of gas pipeline Nabucco planned bypassing Russia which is supported by the European Union and the USA. Project Nabucco assumes transportation of natural gas from the Caspian region in the European countries through Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Austria. It is calculated on annual transportation 31 mlrd gas cubic metre.
