the NATO counts that Afghanistan can independently provide safety in the country to 2013ã. Rasmussen has confirmed that the NATO will continue to finance and train the Afghani army after 2014ã. Also has expressed confidence that thanks to courage and determination of the Afghani forces very soon the country will come to full security.
transfer of responsibility for safety has begun last year when the NATO has given to Afghans responsibility for the world in regions where half of population of the country lives approximately. In other areas of the country the order is provided with coalition forces.
responsibility Transferring passes in three stages which it is planned to finish prior to the beginning of the NATO summit in Chicago till the end of May. Three more phases will be executed within next year.
the Afghani safety force totals now about 330 000 soldiers and plans increase in the number to 352 000 by the end of the year.
