S.Shojgu: Forest fires threaten Russia with radiation

the Head of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia Sergey Shojgu considers that in case of scale forest fires in the Bryansk region in Russia there can be new zones of radioactive infection.
according to the minister, in case of occurrence of fires in the Bryansk region which has been infected during failure on the Chernobyl atomic power station, together with burning products can rise radionuklidy that can lead to occurrence of new zones of pollution.
the head of the Ministry of Emergency Measures has told also that for prevention of a similar situation in region special laboratories now work, and also active suppression of already operating fires by means of robots is conducted.
we will remind, the Bryansk region is not included yet into number of regions where in connection with forest fires the emergency situation mode is entered. Fire conditions remain to the most difficult in the Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Voronezh, Vladimir and Ryazan areas, and also in republics Mordovias and Mary El.
50 persons became Victims of forest fires in Russia already, 72 more inhabitants of the country have been hospitalised.
