Belarus has postponed a question on ratification of the Customs code
Ratification by the Belarus parliament of the Customs code of the Customs union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan is postponed, has informed RIA Novosti news agency referring to a source in secretary of the House of Representatives of national meeting of Belarus. Thus date of consideration of the given bill is unknown.
It was expected that the bill “ About ratification of the contract on the Customs code of the Customs union “ it will be taken out on evening session of the House of Representatives on Monday. To accept it the commission on the international affairs and communications with the CIS the Houses of Representatives recommended to the Belarus deputies. On June, 10th the Customs code has been ratified by parliament of Kazakhstan.
one Week earlier readiness to join the Customs union since July, 1st of this year was confirmed with the Minister of Economics of Belarus Nikolay Snopkov after joint board of the Ministries of Economics of Russia and Belarus. Also it was declared by the deputy minister of foreign affairs of Belarus Andrey Evdochenko during Belarus - the Polish economic forum in Minsk. Having reminded that Russia and Kazakhstan in St.-Petersburg have already signed recently the Customs code, he has noted: “ I Want to tell that this Customs code with withdrawals. Belarus is ready to sign too it, but without withdrawals “.
Earlier and the president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared that Belarus does not have any big claims to Russia in questions of the Customs union.
Meanwhile, according to a number of experts, ratification of the contract by Belarus about the Customs code of the Customs union will mean the consent to the introduction into it on the terms of the Russian side. In particular, with withdrawals concerning Belarus regarding trade in oil and oil products which from the beginning of 2010 are exported from Russia to Belarus with collection of export duties. However, the Russian side is ready to consider possibility of cancellation of these duties for Belarus at a following stage of the Customs union - at introduction of Uniform economic space which is planned for January, 1st, 2012.
